Introduction

Everyday Sustainability

The Journe
environmental pledge

JOURNE is a leader with a focus on creating more sustainable products for businesses.

Our brand promise is “To deliver better choices that are good for both the customer and the planet”. Using all the resources we have, our goal is to better our products, people and the planet. How? By creating in-house designs that involve reusing resources and eliminating waste that poses a threat to the environment.

Our materials are responsibly sourced to reduce our carbon footprint and to create effective and efficient green facilities.

Everyday Sustainability

Protecting our future

In support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, we’re transforming the way we work. At the heart of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals lie 17 globally-recognized goals that strive for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
These goals inspired our own focuses and helped define JOURNE’s six key goals to protect our future.

3 Good Health & Wellbeing

8 Decent work & economic growth

9 Industry, innovation

12 Responsible Consumption & Production

13 Climate Action

17 Partnerships
for our goals

04

Our Approach

Sustainability at our core.

We believe that we need to work together to make impactful change which is why we have partnered with Plastic Bank, a social enterprise that builds recycling ecosystems in under-developed communities. This not only has a positive environmental impact, but also fights high poverty levels in developing countries.

This new partnership will result in JOURNE and ezystorage® removing the equivalent of 2.5 million plastic bottles from the environment over the next 12 months.

05

Our Foundation

The Journe Foundation

The Journe Foundation is an independent not-for-profit environmental and social foundation. It will oversee a range of programs, the first of which is the Journe Give Back Program.

The Journe Give Back Program has been established to give back to the community and the world. This program gives team members the chance to do four week’s FULLY PAID work with either a community service organisation, an NGO or an environmental or social program that we are aligned with.

Stepping into the future

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Sustainability is at the centre of our DNA which enabled us to produce our first 100% recycled content range.

Bunker Tough Heavy Duty Storage Range

  • We estimate one year of sales on our first 100% recycled Bunker range in recycled plastic has avoided 582mT CO2e (metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions)
  • Data is using Gigaton calculator

Equivalences of saving 582mT CO2e

  • Equiv to charging 70.9mil smartphones
  • Equiv to CO2 sequestered by 690 acres of forest
  • Equiv to energy use of 73.4 US homes for one year
  • Equiv to consuming 65.5K gal gasoline
  • Equiv to 1447K miles driving by a gas powered car
  • Equiv to 1350 barrels of oil consumed
